Root Canal Awareness Week is here!
The week is a national effort that seeks to raise awareness around endodontists in order to help endodontists build a relationship with other dental professionals to educate patients about the benefits of root canal treatment, to bolster endodontists as root canal specialists, and to dismiss myths about root canal treatment. Endodontists are specialists in saving teeth and helping to maintain smiles, and the root canal procedures they administer are essential for salvaging and recovering teeth.

Root Canal Awareness week is a week that was designed to raise awareness about endodontists, who are specialists in treating the root canal. The month also poses as a fitting time to educate the public about the work endodontists do. The sect of professional dentistry is one that’s frequently utilized, but often overlooked. The treatment administered by these professionals does a bit more than simply grant relief, they see to the foundational health of teeth, much like arborists see to the fundamental health of trees. They groom areas beneath the service, ridding patients of decay.
The stigma and fear surrounding root canal treatment and therapy have ignited the creation of myths, which are exaggerated and keep people from accessing the help they truly require. These myths are numerous, including the myth that root canals cause illness, treatment is painful, root canal therapy is a lengthy process, root canals are irrelevant if you’re not pain, and it’s better to simply pull the tooth.
