Eat that Frog with a Pomodoro

I have read it somewhere,

“Eat one frog a day and it will keep procrastination away”

Procrastination is actually avoiding doing the given task that should be accomplished or we can say a practice of doing less important tasks first instead of doing more important tasks.

Everyone procrastinates but some are good with dealing with this ability and letting things done on time but others find it difficult to overcome this practice. So in order to make yourself productive and to less procrastinate a Pomodoro technique was established by Francesco Cirillo and is actually a time management technique. So what we have to do is we have to choose our task that is really very important to us and we have to spend 25 minutes to work on that project without any interruptions and then take five minutes break and repeat again.

A certain articles states,

If there was just ONE thing you had to do today, just one, what would that be?

That’s your frog.

Eat it first thing in the morning and you’ll be guaranteed of a productive day. Everything else will be easy in comparison.

I have been given a task to practice on this Pomodoro technique. I first selected an important assignment that should be done on that day. Noted the time and I started working on it. There were so many distractions I have to face. My mobile was continuously pooping up new messages. I was interrupted by thinking of certain other assignments I have to do and all this. So 25 minutes passed and still not enough was accomplished so far. So I decided to turn off the wifi from my mobile and put the mobile to charging whose connection was far from me. Close all the tabs of the social media and mails and started timer. This time I was being able to somehow overcome my procrastination habit and did quite a good work during that time. I am trying to apply this practice to my daily routine so I can manage time well. Hope it will work.
