Back in the days of Windows 95, Microsoft had introduced the first version of PowerToys which is a set of utilities to allow users more productivity and customization by adding or changing features on their desktop. In 2019, Microsoft has relaunched PowerToys for Windows 10.

The utilities in PowerToys include a window manager, called FancyZones, as well as one called Shortcut Guide. FancyZones allows users to add multiple zones, or a custom layout, in order to run apps side-by-side. The Shortcut Guide, as the name suggests, is a useful tool of Windows key shortcut guides for currently active apps on the desktop.

The languages used to write PowerToys include C++, C#, TypeScript and more.

I found this interesting as I am always searching for tools to help me organize myself and be more productive. This is an application I would like to try and use while also learning about how it actually works in the backend.
