Visits are a low-key possible indicator of interest. Much like exchanging glances across tables at a pub or meeting someone at the library. No need to say anything, possibly a good way to start a conversation.

What everyone seems to forget is what’s going to happen with this change. Not the “they want more A-list people”, that much is cynically obvious. No, what’s going to happen is that “Hi there!” spam messages are going to increase 10-fold if not more. Before you could check someone’s profile, send a “Like”, and even if they didn’t have A-list they might decide to look and like you back. Now there’s no way for them to know there’s anything there unless THEY have A-list (to see likes, 99% of which are bots), so there’s only one sure way of making sure they see you.

Fire a message.

So start firing away, and make everyone’s experience worse. Because that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
