Guide: How to purchase solar cells

Hello Sun Exchangers! We thought we would create this handy guide to help you through the process of purchasing solar cells in one of our projects.

Step 1:

Select the project you wish to participate in by going to https://thesunexchange.com/project

Step 2:

Login to your account (or register one if you haven’t already done so) and click the “Buy Solar Cells” button.

Step 3:

You will be presented with the following screen:

Enter the amount of cells you wish to purchase, select your payment method, choose your rental income currency and enter the amount of rental income you wish to donate to the designated charity.

Payment options

Bitcoin: If paying via Bitcoin you have two options to choose from (see below). Select your desired option, tick the boxes to confirm you’ve read the relevant documents and click the “Place Order” button.

After clicking “Place Order” you will be presented with the following screen:

Figures will vary according to amount of cells ordered and the current BTC price.

Scan the QR code or enter the wallet address (under the QR code) into your bitcoin wallet send field. If you selected “Fixed” then once we receive the payment your cells will be allocated to your dashboard. If you selected “Variable” your cells will be allocated to your dashboard at the end of the crowdsale.

Credit Card: If paying via credit card, select your country, tick the boxes to confirm you have read the relevant documents and click the “Place Order” button.

Figures will vary from project to project.

On the next screen, confirm the country that your card is registered in and click the “Make Payment” button.

After clicking the button you will be redirected to our credit card provider PayGate to complete your payment.

Deposit/Bank Transfer: If paying via bank transfer, tick the boxes to confirm you have read the relevant documents and click the “Place Order” button. You will be presented with the following screen:

Figure will vary according to the amount of cells ordered. Account name will also vary according to project.

Use the account details shown to send us your payment. Make sure to use the unique reference quoted at the bottom of the list when making your payment, This will ensure your order is not delayed.
