‘Content’ used to signify the meaning behind the medium. If an artist is told their ‘painting lacks content’ — this means little is meaningful about the painting, and it is not very good. Over the last 36 months the word the definition of ‘content’ is the medium and not the meaning. As a result, a lot of content lacks content.
