Medical Linguistics as Starting Point

I am designing this blog to be about medical linguistics because I have found it hard to locate useful information about how to use English in the medical world. Most medical professionals must take medical terminology classes, I know I did, but none of us took a medical grammar class. This always seemed strange to me. You get the tools to spell, but not the tools to write articulately as a medical professional.

A bit about me, I am cardiac ultrasound tech and I am enrolled in “Modern Grammar” at Nevada State College. As part of that class I must create a blog and organize my study notes and thoughts into a blog, this is that blog.

I look forward to your questions especially as related medical grammar and linguistics, also I will be keeping a list of references if you have a site or want me to add a link to the list — PLEASE CONTACT ME.
