In Person Drop:

The in person drop activity is very amazing and knowledgeable for me. Doing this activity I have learned many important things related to the in person drop. Those things I learned which I couldn’t achieved in past. Because in past I cannot try to meet any company Administration like HR Manager, top management etc. But after attending the session on “in person drop” at Amal Academy. I have learned the specifics techniques of the procedure of in person drop. I have followed the techniques and procedure of in person drop, now I am fully confident to meet any type of company administration in person or to meet on phone called. And I able to share my elevator pitch to the company administration like HR Manager in short time and also drop my resume and cover letter.

Recently I have finds the job at Teradata Company Pakistan form LinkedIn for the post of Advanced Analytics-Data Scientist (GDC) .I had research on the company. And I have find the names of the company administrations like HR Manager, Saadia Milak and the managing Director, Khuram Rahat. After research of the company I have prepared my Resume, cover letter and also practice my elevator pitch. Frist I have apply online and successfully completed my online application at the company website. After completing the online application I was ready with professional dress and I take my resume and cover letter. I have no convince personally to going to the office this is also a problem for me but I take on Raksha for rent. When I come to the office main gate there are two gatekeeper on duty. I request the gatekeeper to give a chance to meet your HR manager Saadia Malik. Luckily they give permission to meet the HR Manager if they are not busy. When I enter the office the receptionist stop me to entering the HR office. I was request the receptionist to give a chance to meet the HR manger .I want to drop my resume and cover letter in person. The receptionist strongly disagree and they said if you apply online it’s enough, your all required documents are reached at HR office .Because She was very busy they have no time to meet with you. The receptionist disheartening me but I continue request and show passionate more and I followed the Saber-a-Jamil. I have waiting HR manager 1 hour. At the last they do not give me a time to meet the HR but the receptionist give me a business card of HR Manager and I have drop my resume and cover letter to the receptionist. Next day I called to Ms.Saadia Malik she was listen my elevator pitch and she said that your resume and cover letter reached here if you fulfill our criteria we called you for next step. And I have send thanks E-mail to Ms.Saadia. In future before going to in person drop I have decided to contact the receptionist first and taken time then going to meet the HR Manager. So we able to meet the HR Manager without facing any problems. I have learned lot of things from this activity. “If you focus on problems, you will have more problems. If you focus on possibilities, you will have more opportunities”. So I have focus on possibilities and I gets more opportunities and new techniques of in persons drop.
