One Girl. One Journey. Part 4.

Wow, I can’t believe this is the final blog and that it has been almost a month since I started my fitness journey. Time really does fly when you are having fun! I have only had one session since my last post which kind of stinks but after the semester ends I am definitely sticking with two sessions a week and debating on whether or not to bump it up to three. My session last Thursday was filled with a variety of workouts that were mainly focused on my legs and core. Some of the exercises included planks, mountain climbers, weighted back squats, air squats, lots of running, scissor kicks and my least favorite workout-wall sits. Those are all things that we have done before but at the end of the session we did something new…and that was stretching. For whatever reason my hamstrings are extremely tight as well as a lot of the muscles in my back and legs. This has affected me when it comes to lifting weights and the overall range of movement I have in my body. My trainer actually did some pretty intense partner stretches with me and even he was surprised with how tight my muscles were. At the end of the stretches, we both noticed an improvement and decided that it would be something we would try and do at the beginning and/or end of each session. As for my eating habits, I have been hitting some highs and lows with it like I did last week. I would love to consistently eat healthy and meal prep but that takes a lot of money and time-both of which I could use more of. I am making a goal to get better with it each week though and one day I hope to consistently eat healthy and kick all of my craving for any types of junk food out of the window. That concludes my final blog post of my journey. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read and follow along with me. I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your summer!
