Somethingness — a thought

There is a strange part of the universe, so tiny in the grand scheme, that for a very long time, it thought it was the only part that existed. The nothingness was vast and hollow, but this somethingness was small and rich. The strangest thing about this somethingness was of its own doing — for it had brewed life, varieties as infinite as the grand nothingness, all packed onto its thin surface. And here’s the strangest thing yet: life on this somethingness is the only thing in the universe that looks up and says, “Hey… that’s me, too.”
