Oh God this is so true. Even more respectable onlnie publications are trying to shock in their headlines, when it’s completely unncessary. For example, a toddler in an accident whose neck was injured had a ‘severed head reattached’ or wording to that effect. Asking us to click for that is just morbid and wrong but that’s how it works with our brains aparrently. :o
