The day I decided to do something about it and Started Coding.

Have you ever been stuck with a job that you don’t want?, or a job that makes you feel unhappy?, I want to share with you the day I decided to do something about it and start to learn how to Code.

I tried to get to play electric guitar at least twice, learn how to dev for Mobile at least three times, So what changed? I found myself bored with my current routine, my job it’s pretty the same, which means that nothing news happens or there aren’t challenges that need to be solved, and In case if you are wondering, I’m not working in IT right now. I’ve been working in the financial industry in Brazil as customer service representative for our public bank for four years now.

Working as a Customer Service (my current job) isn’t easy, and I think this is a reality in all kinds of the service industry. To be good at your job you need to be open to establish healthy relationships with your clients and co-workers — done. But regarding my routine, which has been previously defined by our company and unchanged since the last 20 years or so it is pretty annoying.

Computer Science was my passion since I was in high school, and the desire to be a scientist was growing inside me since then. Unfortunately, I didn’t have access to higher education in my city or even near to my place, everything that I learn so far was due to YouTube Videos, Blogs Articles and E -Books that I found on the web.

In my opinion, a job needs to be about you and not to the income you bring home. Unfortunately, not every one of us can work with we like or love; and I think one of the reasons Why I am a pursuing a college degree in computer science now is to prove that I’m right.

So far I have been working for 9 hours 38 minutes, and 59 seconds in this journey.

I believe in the power of dedication and self-motivation; I hope that after a few months from now on to come back to this Article and see that all my effort worth it and see if I am happier, working in my desired field and being me — or the version that I always wanted to be :)
