1. Activity: Complete “12 Tips to Manage and Maximize Your Career”:

a) HW Activity Part A: Sharing the 6 guidelines with your classmate:

I liked this part of the homework as I got a chance to sit and discuss the 6 tips of the course “12 Tips to manage and maximize your career” with one of my good friends and classmate Mr. Nouman Tariq. He was really happy and thankful to me for sharing these tips as in his point of view these are very useful guidelines to step into your career successfully. Mr Nouman was having a good question for first tip that at this stage it is difficult for us to find a job matching our passion and secondly we are not so clear about our passion as well at this initial stage. We had a discussion of about 10 minutes on this topic and we reached the conclusion that at least we should think of our passion and then step into the field and find what sort of field is suitable for us. He completely agreed upon the 2nd tip of taking our decisions ourselves and standing by them. He was having a plan of pursuing for masters right after the bachelors but now after having discussion on the 4th tip that we should do an internship or job before pursuing higher studies in a particular field, he changed his mind and he wants to do a job or internship first. Then we had a discussion on the last part that should we spent one year in first job? I gave the reason that It helps to understand that how organizations work and what are their norms and values and how can we avoid a boss or job that we don’t like in future. I am really thankful to Mr. Nouman for his time and interest.
