A Letter to Men: Death before Dishes?
Thaddeus Howze

I wish I had had a father that resembled this photo. The myth that being a stay at home parent is a worthless occupation that is super easy and a cop-out is doing endless harm to children. The calmest, most self confident children have as much touch as they desire in the very early years from their mum and/or dad. Chucking babies into a daycare because real estate is so expensive is, in my books, an absolute crime. With my first two under 5 kids, the husband suddenly declared one day that I would now go out to work while he stayed at home with the youngsters. Off I duly trotted. Day 2 the experiment ended. “ Why didn’t you tell me how hard it was?” was what he said. Classic.
