The Wolf Without Tail Story
Long time ago there lived a pack of wolves in a jungle. They often used to hunt and eat other weak and feeble animals of the jungle. One of these wolves used to think of himself to be very strong and clever. This clever wolf often used to go secretly to the village near the jungle without telling the rest of the wolves and would hunt and eat the pet animals of the farmers in the village. The poor people of the village were really sick of this wolf and wanted to get rid of him. Therefore to get rid of this wolf all the people of the village went to an experienced hunter to take his advice. When the hunter heard the problem of the poor people of the village he agreed to help them. The hunter went near the village and spread a big trap on the way where the wolf was expected to come from. The hunter himself sat on the branch of the tree to wait for the wolf to come. After a while the wolf appeared in the village.
He was moving fast ahead to catch an animal for his meal. Soon the wolf went near the trap of the hunter. The moment he stepped ahead, his paw got stuck and the wolf was caught in the trap. At first the wolf got very scared at being caught in this difficulty that had appeared suddenly but then he started making an effort to come out of the trap. While he was scuffling with the trap his tail got entangled in it. The wolf managed to come out of the trap after scuffling with it for a long time. But as soon as the wolf got himself freed, the trap was pulled with a jerk. As a result of this, the knife of the hunter who was sitting on the tree, fell on the wolf’s tail and chopped it off from the rest of his body. In this situation, the wolf preferred to save his life than saving his tail so he ran away towards the jungle.
