Years ago, I was heavily into reading books about relationships and manifesting love. One of the books I read was about how to manifest your soulmate and in it, the author recommended among many tasks, making a list of real-life examples of soulmate relationships.
I was stumped. No matter how much I tried, I could not think of any couple I knew that had a soulmate relationship. I knew people that were married. I knew people that were in relationships but none of these people had that blissful, seamless, happy, easy going and chemistry filled relationship that defines a soulmate relationship. Many of them were unhappy or just staying together for the kids. There was tension and even those who weren’t outwardly contentious, privately said to me that if they had a choice, they would never marry again.
