I love love love your article. It is so true. Whenever I ask myself about an idea I have it usually comes from something that bothers me in life, something that annoys me, something that is hard for me.
There are many times where I could have done something with those things that I hated in my life or was annoyed by.
- Living in a city I couldn’t get groceries easily in my neighborhood because there were no grocery stores. That really annoyed me, I hated it…Then instacart was born. If I had really thought about this I probably could have done something similar.
- ClassPass idea- I bet a lot of women, and ladies had the same problems that their CEO and founder founded classpass on. I had them myself. It was SO annoying like 10 years ago living in the city- you had to join ONE GYM- I always thought WHY WHY WHY — why can’t I go to classes at lots of gyms in my city. It bothered me but I didn’t do anything about it.
It would be interesting to know from these kinds of people who started companies based off of things that annoyed them or they hated how they knew that problem or hate was big enough or justified to start and do. That is what I struggle with.
