Thank you Kelly, for your effort in promoting the short story genre. One of my first blogs on Medium was to question the step motherly treatment given to short stories. I have a novel and a short story collection. Most traditional publishers accepted the novel for consideration but felt short stories are not commercial enough.This is without reading a single word of the stories I had written. So I went ahead and self published the short stories as an ebook. I am grateful that there are so many evolved readers around the world who have appreciated my short stories. This reach would have been impossible with traditional publishing. I love reading and writing short stories and short films. I know many others who feel the same way and I often wonder why there is a resistance to this fine art of brevity.
