Of pride and all that is!
When dreams fulfill, or hopes crumble,
When knowledge is nil or I’m proved too sensible,
When cuddled and cajoled, or utterly ignored,
When pampered or princed,
Drowned with the joy of family and friends,
Or cold and cast away by same good old friends,
When I leap insane and am strong as a wall,
Or when I roll in pain and all my hair fall
When kids or spouse, family and house,
Or my clothes and home and car or phone,
Don’t remind that they’re none of my own,
I wonder then of what can I boast,
Of what ever can I boast!
No matter if life hits you with highs or lows
There is that Love and Grace of my Saviour I know
That’s all I have to ever boast!
