A few days ago I heard sad news about one of my relatives. Her baby was only ten days old, but she heard the news no parent wants to hear — the baby died in the womb. The cause of death has not been determined. The doctors were confused and shocked.

When we find ourselves in situations where we lose something close to our hearts, we wonder why.

In Surah Taha, Allah teaches us a powerful lesson. When He takes something from you, He replaces it with something wonderful. All we need to do is trust in Allah and His plan, and do as He wills.

In verses 37–40 Allah tells how He inspired the mother of Musa (peace be upon him). to put the baby Musa AS in a basket and throw it into the river. At that moment, as a mother, no amount of logic would help Musa’s mother understand why such a thing was being asked of her. Who would throw their child into the river, knowing the dangers ahead? But she fulfilled what Allah commanded her. And what happened next? Did Allah leave him helpless? Did you leave him in pain and not take care of him?

No?

Allah shows how the mother was given direct access to Musa AS as soon as he reached the palace of Firawn!

In this way, Allah shows that He can bring things back to you, from places you never imagined, in a way you never expect, as long as you trust in Him.

So, don’t look at your temporary loss as permanent. Of course, when Allah removes something from you, He will replace it with something better. Just do what he wants.
