The thing I find amusing (/frustrating/sad) about “not resorting to” quotas and meritocracy is that we’re acting like a level playing field exists. Men have blatantly received jobs, promotions and opportunities *because of their gender* since forever. Yet when we suggest quotas might not be fair and women might be given jobs based on their gender — we repeal in horror and exclaim it would be unfair! Isn’t that a double standard?
That aside it’s fantastic to see you have a number of strategies in place to increase female participation in the start up space and I’m cheering you all on.
