Day 18 — #writeingrief

When gripped in the unforgiving vice of grief, may the clenching loosen long enough for you to catch your breath.

When stopped in your tracks, knees buckling from the weight of grief, may the load lighten, even slightly, so you can find relief.

When ripped open by your heart bursting from grief, may there be hands to catch your pieces and love to stitch you back together.

When beaten down and knocked out by grief, may tender hands be there to hold you until you can face another day.

You may scream in silence with your grief, but you are heard.

You may walk alone in your grief, but you are not abandoned.

You may retreat in your grief, but you are not forgotten.

You may hate the world in your grief, but you are loved.
