Telemedicine shift today. I enjoy the luxury of spending time with patients and I think they do too. No Press Ganey to prove it. ;)
Patients are often skeptical and often omit medications they take, especially psych medications. No judgement here. However do mental health patients feel judged by doctors??
Urgent care clinic day! I spent 13 hours battling colds, sore throats, and lacerations. My newest challenge is learning to work with a nurse practitioner. I have to keep my control freak under control ( whatever), so we can all work in harmony.
OK. We have all seen Greys Anatomy or Scrubs where the residents have to know…
I am a telemedicine doctor. The visits are video based, nationwide, and last minutes. When a patient sees me, the doctor, onscreen, do they respect me? Do they trust me? Are they scared? I can’t touch them but I try to use my words to soothe and reassure. Do they feel as detached from me as I do from them? How can we build a lasting relationship in this format?
