Humans are still the best writers
Kieran Snyder

This reminds me of how I felt about Twitter in late 2016…

Much of Twitter felt like bots talking to bots.

Tweets are generated by automation and engagement is also very artificial. You get automated likes and retweets… and follows that will be undone in 5 days.

People have to be the ones who write content.

Content has to be consumed by actual people (not just to get fake bot stats).

What’s the role of technology then?

Tech’s job is to scale the human voice. Tools can automate repetitive and predictable tasks.

For example, grammar checking can be done by a tool… but changes have to be ultimately selected and approved by a human.

Content should be created by people for people.

Or else, we’ll have automated content production just consumed by other robots.
