You description of the side effects is spot on. None of those effects happen until the medication is given. They start as soon as the medication is given. All psych nurses must see it happen in front of their eyes. Doctors are seldom present but still see the before and after. Yes it’s pretty funny that a person who sees or hears things that are not seen or heard by everyone has no credibility about anything including what they experience themselves where as people who decide to start wars are highly respected for their sanity and intelligence. Strange world we live in. I think it mostly boils down to the fear of the unknown most people seem to have. Too big, too dark, too mysterious, and of course to doubt the accepted wisdom is dangerous. Where as if you ask people who have experienced these things they generally do not seem to be terrified. It is no longer unknown to them. By the way I have found that years after stopping medication the akathisia starts to gradually return. It must have caused a permanent weakness that becomes noticeable as the brain ages and the few remaining cells that had not been destroyed by the medicine start dying off. I appreciate your courage speaking the truth about what is happening. I am aware of a nurse who has been silenced by means of diagnosing them with a illness they had no signs of having so that they could be injected with the same medication to prevent them from being able to think and defend themselves. If anyone is closing their minds because of feelings of guilt I hope you can loose that idea. The whole notion of guilt is a big mistake in my opinion. All it causes is pain and suffering to no purpose. I decided some time ago to just let it go as a bad joke. Forgiveness is the way and why not start with ourselves.
