5 Must-Read Books on Being Successful

“Readers are leaders” is a cliché and to a large extent it can be true if you truly understand the concept of “leadership.” As a lot of my readers know, you don’t have to hold any form of political, business or social post to be a leader.
By the way, that’s a topic for another day.
Think and I Am
Literature can influence us in making valuable critical decisions. They can change our approach towards life and trigger motivation that drives us to take actions. Actions that will enhance our chances of being successful.
Briefly, I want to take you through “5 Must-Read Books on Being Successful”. But remember, becoming a bookworm is not synonymous with being successful. You have to take actions to enjoy the benefits in the book consciously.
This list is in no particular order and you don’t have to agree with my opinion. Here we go.
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

This widely read book spans across the “7 Habits” which the author, Steve R. Covey calls principles.
It discusses how these principles if rightly applied can enhance our effectiveness. In addition, help us to achieve a balance between our personal and professional life. It also emphasizes the power of synergy in becoming successful.
In effect, this book has been reported to have been employed in many leadership, business, political and educational organizations.
Thinking For A Change
It is arguably the most popular book from the stable of the seasoned writer. The widely acclaimed ‘leadership thinker” — John C. Maxwell.
All in all Maxwell states that the way we think determines how successful we become. He believes that our thinking can change our personal lives, businesses and career.
Moreover sharing 11 ways that successful people think and how adopting these thought patterns can arouse the motivation needed for us to be successful.
How To Win Friends and Influence People

It’s one of the most influential motivational books of all time despite being written over 80 years ago.
Indeed, Dale Carnegie teaches us how to strengthen the relationship with others through the power of persuasion citing numerous practical live examples.
He states that, when you emulate the act of praising other peoples’ strengths. Rather than, criticizing them for any slight mistakes, you will achieve the motivation to be successful together.
Rich Dad, Poor Dad
This little book by Robert T. Kiyosaki teaches financial education and shows the readers why being “educated” is not enough to achieve financial liberty. Contrary to many opinions, it’s not a “get rich” guide.
It challenges the status quo of “go to school and get a job” and seeks to change readers’ attitude towards their finances.
The principles taught in this book motivate readers to be financially successful and motivates them to be entrepreneurs and investors. In particular, not rely on salary.
Think and Grow Rich

One of the best motivational or self-help books of all time. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill explains the 13 principles which form the “Philosophy of Achievement.”
Hill takes an in-depth look at the power of mind and self-belief. At its core how they influence our success. The text cross-examines the lives of past successful people like Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. In particular, how we can use the lessons derived from their experiences as motivation for our success.
