Education In A Vacuum

As an ex-teacher and tutor, I read many articles and stories about education. This particular pieces disturbed me on many, many levels. The pursuit of an education is supposed to be an adventure, something that excites the imagination and provides a foundation to vault to those dreams.

It would appear, sadly, that the author of this piece has not experienced a decent, dedicated teacher, interested in ensuring that his/her students strive, achieve and enjoy the experience of education. The essay exposes an underlying fact that we are raising robots and not dreamers! How very, very sad!
