The post office is hard to find (472 postal network, ask for ‘correos’),

Had to ask 3 people to get there

The post office opens at 8am,

At 9:50am, the post office is still closed,

Sending a postcard to France costs 3000 COP (0.84€),

There are a lot of fruit sellers in the streets,

Graffitis are part of the city

You can get a Yellow Fever shot for free (against £55 in the UK): just bring your passport and a stabable arm. As noted by M·G·S, the fact that the vaccine was pulled with a putative sterile syringe from a bottle instead of coming in a sterile single dose syringe hints at a lower level of safety,

On the left, the entrance to the clinic — Carrera 10b #25–10 Cartagena Bolivar

Many doors have cool handles,

Even with its doors closed, this place smelled amazing

At daylight, you are safe inside the wall,

A hobo with a plastic bag on his face

At he Music hostel, the rooftop is fantastically chill, but they don’t exactly have wine glasses,

A red wine bottle and three glasses

Near the clock tower, lots of candies are sold in the street,

No, this baby face is absolutely not creepy

Jesus is stronger than your sins, and your sins are stronger than a mere dragon,

Jesus ain’t kidding here

Beauty and danger are the yin and the yang of a single flower,

You can smell but you shan’t hold

Vaccines cause autism. Oh wait, this is only in the US,

That looks like a lot

Driving a bike is for 12 fags,

and that’s cool

They serve mango with salt and lemon juice,

And since it’s slippery, lost a bunch of these

There are a few Japanese restaurants; haven’t seen Chinese nor Korean

`Tabetai’ means `I want to eat’

A lot of cars remind you of your mum,

Hi mum, I’m OK

The food is not always top-notch but enjoyable nonetheless,

Food 1
Food 2

A local artist dropped a lot of metallic statues showing the activities still present in the city,

Sewing
Parenquera carying fruits
Dudes playing around a table
Funky things here and there

Looks are important: all girls shave, and many guys do,

Reasonable standards are too 2015 anyway

Streets are always colourful and lively during the day,

Did I say there were a lot of grafitis? Just to be sure,

Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela have the greatest diversity of hummingbirds, whose family includes more than 100 genres and 350 species.

And did I say streets were colourful? Just checking

Every day I’m shuffling

The same spot

by day
and by night

In a word: Cartagena is a very romántico place for sure.

Trucks, light and food

Very very romántico…

Sunset on the wall, perfect but for the noise

In a word, life is warm and chill

well, too warm for tourists
