Great research! I completely agree with the fact that most of these searches are impulsive actions. I have been there myself and my I searched something similar. I didn’t really click on the first few results as all of them were about suicide prevention. I wasn’t looking to prevent ‘the end’, I was looking to for the easiest (and painless) way of getting there. At that time, I wasn’t keen on doing a lot of searching as I felt severe lack of energy to even get off the bed. What made me stop was the difficulty in finding the ‘right information’ with ease. I feel that if the search engines simply mask or hide the info, it can help the user get some time and relief.

If someone is hellbent on committing suicide, they won’t be relying on a search result
