Up until recently I’ve been living a binary life. I didn’t realize it. It just kind of happened.
Black or white. Good or bad. Right or wrong. 0 or 100.
Two choices. No middle ground. No in-between.
I recently woke up to the fact that this actually isn’t real life. There aren’t only two options.
There is an in-between.
The in-between is where you have space to breathe.
The in-between is where you see things differently.
The in-between is where you accept everything but hold on to nothing.
And above all, the in-between is where you realize that there are actually an infinite amount of possibilities in a finite world.
All this time I’ve thought the “in-between” was a place of indecision. A place where people go to wait, and ideas go to die. My idea of hell, really.
But it turns out that the in-between is actually as close to heaven as we’ll get in this lifetime.
So that’s why I’ve decided to live life going 50. Not too fast, not too slow.
Because I don’t want to spend another minute missing what’s just right.
