He was actually a really sweet guy.

I had a lot of shame wrapped around this period of my life (I slept with men initially in part because I had to — this event was actually ‘transactional’). In reliving it to write this story, I was surprised to find the good I had forgotten in my shame.

The process for this kind of writing is…interesting. :-)
