Hyperledger Fabric (HLF) is a permissioned blockchain platform designed for enterprise use. Privacy and confidentiality, forefront requirements of any enterprise solution, are provided through segregation of the network into channels, allowing groups of participants to transact on a private ledger. The creation of channels is controlled by members of Consortia, which consist of one or more organizations that are defined at the network level. As Fabric networks evolve and grow, it is expected that the list of organizations requiring the ability to create channels will change.
