What ghost hunting equipment works?

As paranormal investigators, we have used all sorts of equipment in our quest to contact the dead. The one piece of advice we give is that you are the best piece of equipment that you can bring.

Your senses

Your gut feeling and your senses will work just as well as any piece of technology so don’t rush out and spend a lot of money. But if you do want to get some technology then here is what we recommend:

Voice recorder

This simple device will pick up any spirits who speak. All you need to do is ask the spirit a question and with a bit of luck they will respond and the response will be captured on the recorder. This is known as Electronic Voice Phenomenon.

PSB-7 spirit box

This is a small box that picks up radio frequencies. If you put the radio on a high sweep rate then it will be white noise through which spirits can manipulate and speak. We have had a lot of success with this device, the best way to communicate is to ask a question while the device is sweeping and see what comes through. If you have the voice recorder running at the same time then you can record any results you get.
