Naples is a bad lover
I dislike the endless noises, the sweaty crowds, the dirt and pollution in this city, but slowly, I also found very interesting human beings living here, they are positive, talkative, sunny warm like just as Italian southern heatwave, now I am afraid I would feel a bit sad leaving Naples…
(well, once I take a deep breath I would change my mind anyway, time to go home, honey!)
Don’t get me started with local foods, Naples airport itself represents one-stop-shopping hub for tourists shopping eating till the very last minute, it’s surely aka foodie’s quickie paradise, finished the last bite of freshly made sfogliatella riccia and frolla, washing down with a cup of perfect coffee latte, I wish I was able to try all kinds of sweets out there just one cake shop, may I?
Am I surely ready to leave?
5 euro amazing tomato sauté octopus plate, 2.5 euro whole bottle sweet house white wine, 3.9 euro on-sales polo shirt, 10 euro handmade mosaic photo flame, 8 euro customized lucky charms necklace… all are my compensation of this exhausted yet exciting trip.
So many local churches in Naples, as many as like convenient stores in Tokyo, it’s a heavenly quieter place for temporary getting away this city’s chaos, all churches are decorating via different stunning gorgeous style, never getting tired of sitting inside for a while, doing some meditation to slow down a little bit, taking a short break for researching my peaceful mind in order to cope with the reality outside the heavy wooden or iron door later…
I like you, I dislike you, I surely will miss you…
Naples, you are absolute a bad lover.
P.S. back home from 32C heat Southern Italy to 19C light breeze London, which’s truly my love I would say it again and again 😊
