6GB of RAM on a Smartphone. Do we really need it?

Remember this cute tiny little beauty and stylish Motorola Razr V3 series? Why no one makes this such of beauty anymore? Well, there’s a rumor that Lenovo will bring this baby back after their bizarre Moto G launch a couple months ago, but still it just a rumor. I mean Android #smartphone vendor have to sit back, reevaluate their product line and bring something different instead of doing the "specs war".

Bigger screen war or the latest battle is bigger RAM for the example.

Do we really need 6GB RAM on a smartphone? How come we need that so much RAM in a smaller device than a laptop? 6GB RAM will be useless if memory management that handle the "garbage collection" on Android is sucks. That's how exactly why One Plus 3 with 6GB of RAM can't compete the iPhone 6S performance with only 2GB of RAM.

We don't need a massive RAM, we need a better and smart memory management to make #Android run smoothly and has a stable performance like #iOS or #windowsmobile (1GB RAM is enough for Windows Mobile platform and 2GB of RAM are enough for Windows 10 32-bit on a laptop. Yes laptop, a bigger device than a smartphone).

And actually Google are allowing the vendor to create the specific custom ROM or custom UI based on Android for their phones.
