Sunny Day

The sun shines above

smiling down as children play

Though hot, it’s filled with love

so bright and beautiful as flowers sway

A smile upon a child’s face

makes you want to dance

It is like being in a race

with your heart beating fast

The grass is the bed as we lie down

a smile on my face while watching

They laugh and smile as if wearing a crown,

so pure and innocent while they are talking.

Trees sway as the wind blows

flowers dancing in the breeze

The day ends, yet everyone waits for tomorrow

the sun continues to shine as everyone leaves.
