Aloha Rachel,
Experiencing death in a digital world is ambiguous, awkward and often downright uncomfortable. It is a shame that spaces like Facebook turn sour following a loved ones passing. There are many memories locked away in there, but as a space, the web has not been designed to remember those. For over a year now myself and a few friends have been trying to design a solution that changes our relationship with death online. What we have built is a place where family and friends can gather to share and explore stories from our loved one’s life.
If you are interested in trying out what we have come up with let me know. It is a great way to engage with their memory in celebratory way and more than anything I would love your feedback on the project! Feel free to reach –raja@rippl.life
