Hawaii Social Media Seminar

Myself and Ed Sugimoto at the Hawaii Social Media Seminar after party.

Last month, I had to decide which costly event I wanted to attend: a chance to go whale watching (something I’ve always wanted to do) OR attend my very first Hawaii Social Media Seminar. I was torn between those events especially since humpback whales only visit the Hawaiian Islands for a short time. It wasn’t until my wise cousin convinced me to attend the seminar, since it would be useful in my future. and I’m really glad I took his advice.

To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect with my very first social media seminar, but it was definitely worth missing those humpback whales! I learned something useful from each segment of the seminar, gained insight and new perspectives from each of the speakers. Plus I had the chance to schmooze with some of Hawaii’s up and coming tweeters!

The Hawaii Social Media Seminar was a super informative and fun experience, everyone who attended was able to learn tips and tricks from successful “Yodas” in their respective fields. Plus the Tweet-Up was the perfect opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and a wonderful way to finally meet Twitter people IRL.

If you missed today’s Social Media Seminar, make sure you buy tickets to Technology News Bytes’ upcoming social media seminar in October. After talking to Sanna Thuresson she informed me, October’s event will be bigger and even better.
