Turnout low, Putin and Medvedev slammed for “pension reform”

On Sunday, 2 September the Communist Party held a series of demonstrations across the country against the proposed raise of the retirement age — commonly referred to as “the pension reform”. Organisers on stage claimed 100,000 people turned up, while the official estimate of 6,000 by the Moscow police seems more plausible.
