Although Kanpur is not the capital of Uttar Pradesh, it is the most special city of the state. A very special industrial city. Kanpur is situated on the banks of river Ganges. Every Kanpuria is concerned about having connection with this city. Kanpur’s original name was Kanhpur.Today I will tell you some facts and information about the kanpur.

In 1857, the land of Kanpur was reddened with blood.After that,Kanpur started developing as an industrial city. Many mills were opened, among them Lal Imli, Mure Mill, Elgin Mill, Kanpur Cotton Mill and Atherton Mill became quite famous.

The only effect was that Kanpur was known as the city of mills. In the history books, the city was called ‘Manchester of the East’.

After Independence, Kanpur made progress. Here IIT open, Green Park International Cricket Stadium, Ordnance factories were established.

But now the development of Kanpur may have been derailed. The clock of the Laal Imli Mill located in Civil Lines, which was built on
the basis of London’s Big Ben, was once the face of Kanpur. Today the clock is going on, but the mill machines and loom have stopped.
