Cue & A: How Do You Feel About Music Crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding can’t be seen as black or white. I have seen projects that rely on such platforms so that they can mitigate debt or lower financial risks. I have also seen projects abusing from crowdfunding, promoting mediocre projects, hoping people’s goodwill will drag them across the finish line. If a crowdfund is a scam, its simply illegal. And when musicians abuse it, people will most likely notice it, and the project will not reach its goal. But thankfully there are many top-quality projects that are allowed to exist because of a crowdfund platform, that would otherwise flop or be rejected by private investors or limited sponsors.
