OK Commuter is the fourth self-published series by Brooklyn-based photographer, Ricardo Lozano, released October, 31, 2015 through A Love Token Press. In this feature, Ricardo documents his journey commuting through New York City by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, local buses, taxicabs, skateboarding, and walking alongside more than ten million daily commuters.

Ricardo shot the photos & designed the book in New York in the fall of 2015, with most of the documentation completed in the five boroughs. Ricardo made a deliberate attempt to distance himself from the self-oriented crowds and focus on his introspective style of shooting. OK Commuter’s abstract photographs, densely captured contrast and wide range of influences have laid the groundwork for Ricardo’s instinctive style of shooting.
