I passed multiple Google Cloud certifications online through Kryterion Webassessor and want to share with you the different steps before, during and after the exam.
Register for the exam
- Create a Kryterion Webassessor account
Be careful, the specified name must match exactly with the name on your identifications otherwise you won’t be able to take the exam.
2. Register for the exam
Go to “Register for an exam”, select the “Remote Proctored” version of your certification then select the date of your exam.
You can reschedule/cancel your exam within 24 hours of your scheduled exam.
If you don’t pass the exam (I’m sure you’ll pass it 😀), you have to repay the exam and take it again after 14 days. If you don’t pass it again, you must wait 60 days before the third attempt.
You’ll receive a confirmation mail afterward with all the details.
3. Install Sentinel
Sentinel is the online proctoring software, you can install it from “My assessments” on Kryterion webassessor. Then create your Biometric Profile.
I highly recommend you to do these 2 steps ASAP to focus on your exam preparation.
Exam day

2. Clean your room
You’ll asked to show your entire room including the floor and the ceiling. Make sure to have a silent, isolated and clean environment with your computer, identification and turn off your phone.
Tell your relatives that you’ll pass an important exam and to not enter your room and avoid making noises.
3. Launch Sentinel
15 minutes before the start of your exam close all applications, go to “My Assessments” on Kryterion, you’ll have your exam under “Scheduled Exams”, click on “Launch” and it will open Sentinel.

4. Temporary exam result
After submitting your exam, you’ll get a temporary result: either a “Pass” or a “Fail”.
This is a temporary result because Google must confirm it by reviewing the 2-hour exam record.
If you got a “Pass” and respected the exam terms and conditions (didn’t leave the camera, talk to anyone etc …) then congratulations you made it 🥳.
You can find your temporary result on Kryterion from “My Assessments”.
Waiting for the final result
Google says that it takes 7 ~ 10 days to complete the evaluation but I got the final result by email after 3 days.
Click on “Claim your certificate” to get your badge and certificate that you can publish on Linkedin for instance.
