Apple buying Lala, Beats, and now potentially Tidal makes me think they are either struggling to come up with substantial new features of their own or is just happy with the status quo and only plan to buy up competitors as they appear. They have too much user data and metadata to continually give us the mediocre music product(s) they have for over a decade. They could knock it out of the park if they really wanted to. There are too many features they could easily add to not only improve Apple Music but media discovery in general, and have been able to for years, but seem to not care.
