Life in London, Week 3

I can’t believe that I have been here 3 weeks! With class and spending time with friends, the days seem to fly by. I am beginning to adjust to the London way of life. Here are some things I have learned thus far:

  1. Americans are LOUD. Everywhere my friends and I go in London, we are the loudest people there. People don’t talk while riding on the tube/ other means of public transportation, and at restaurants, people always use their “inside voices.”
  2. As most people who know me well understand, I am horrible with directions. So, needless to say, utilizing public transportation proved to be a bit challenging initially. I am embarrassed to admit that I only recently learned that to take the same bus home, you have to cross the street (I got lost A LOT before someone finally let me in on this well-kept secret).
  3. Even though I thought I did a lot of walking at home, it is nothing in comparison to the walking I have done since I’ve been here. I have had to adjust my footwear because my feet were not happy with me after my first week in London.
A single golf clap? Or a long standing ovation?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
