Hi Oat! Thank you so much for your response! Responses like that are the reason that I write. It means a lot when people resonate strongly with my writing and connect with me through them. I’d love to answer your question and funnily enough, that’s my favourite question to ask people. Send me an email on maeyalily@gmail.com and I would be happy to tell you more.
Thank you for your beautifully written response, Vasundhra! And also for having an awesomely cool name. I am a big believer that you create the reality you live in and I’m excited to hear how it worked out for you.
Your kids are right, Farida. You are a chandelier and you definitely lit up my day! I have often found that many people have amazing life stories behind their unassuming veneer and have had many conversations similar to your “cheeseburger lunch”.
We need more people like you in this world too!
Hi Thomas! I think deeper relationships is something we all strive for and seems to get harder and harder as we feel the burden of responsibilities and the rigidity of social interactions as adults.
You already have an invitation to my dinner party! Send me an email with your contact details (maeyalily@gmail.com) and I will let you know when I organize one!
Hi Jesse,
Thank you sharing your thoughts. One of the other readers offered great guide to how to make important decisions. When you are deciding between spending time with loved ones or working, it’s helpful to think which decision would mean more to you at your deathbed. Which one would you regret not doing when you die?
Thank you, Matt! It was such a blast talking to you!
CJ! We should be friends! What amazing stories! I loved all of it and I want to hear more about your art and summer camp for adults. What a brilliant idea. Adults have so few avenues other than sporting activities to make friends. Reach out to me if you feel like sharing more on maeyalily@gmail.com
Haha! It sounds like your badge is a charm for attracting great conversations and you should keep it. Thank you for sharing that charming story. It’s such a joy when my writing connects me to people who approach life similarly.
Hi Edward, I loved this response so much, I read it out loud to a friend. I will definitely be adopting the deathbed principle for making important decisions. I actually employ something similar to see if I’m living life in line with my values. I imagine the eulogy people would give at my funeral based on how I’m living my life today and if that’s…
Wow! What a response! That blew me away, Tom. Thank you! I’m very flattered.
