Here is my cover of Someone Else by Miley Cyrus from her 2013 album “Bangerz”.

This and wrecking ball were probably my favorite songs from the album.

I experimented with slightly harder drums and more aggressive sounds in the verses and then a softer and mellow approach in the hook to give a more R&B feel.

I always feel that there is no point in doing a cover unless it sounds very different from the original song, otherwise you might as well just listen to the original!

That is always my goal with a cover, to give the listener a unique experience of a familiar song. Hope you like my interpretation of the song!
