Even with excellent public transportation, a 25 mile commute isn’t rational from a quality of life perspective, a time perspective and most importantly from an environmental perspective. Every mile between a person and their job represents fuel use and emissions that cannot be undone.

Our collective future depends on people being able to live where they work, where they shop, and so on. The concept of the bedroom community must be relegated to the ignorant, selfish (and white supremacist) past that spawned it.
