That didn’t answer the core question, so let me answer it for you. There isn’t a single crime that would justify what was done to this mother — who you may note, didn’t commit any crime to begin with. There isn’t anything added to the story by giving you that information except justification for your own bias against people who have been convicted of crimes, and an excuse for you to dismiss the injustice visited upon this woman based upon your condemnation of her child. You don’t want to know because it’s important (or any of your business). You want to know so you have an excuse for dismissing her struggle.
