I think this is brilliant, and nails for me my discomfort with SURJ, and the reason I have not engaged with them. My engagement in the work of equality has been and will continue to be in diverse groups that understand that until all of us are free, none of us are free. Naming that brings me to the one thing you wrote that I take exception with, which is possibly a simple misunderstanding of language usage — such a tricky thing. My believe is that white people should expect to gain something, and that something is a bigger, brighter future enhanced by the full participation of all people.
